Research Analyst

Qualifications: Education: Bachelors/Masters in disciplines of biofuels, bioenergy, energy, environmental sciences, applied sciences, engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities of the post: As a Research Analyst, you will be expected to:

• Conduct in-depth research on global biofuels markets, production trends, emerging technologies, and feedstock availability, identifying opportunities and challenges for sector growth.
• Evaluate national and international biofuels policies, incentives, and sustainability frameworks, assessing their impact on industry development and trade.
• Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets related to biofuels production, consumption, pricing, carbon emissions, and investment patterns to generate actionable insights. Utilize data visualization tools to present findings effectively for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop economic models, scenario analyses, and policy simulations to assess the feasibility and competitiveness of different biofuels pathways.
• Engage with academic institutions, think tanks, policymakers, and industry experts to collect and validate data.
• Contribute to policy briefs, whitepapers, and reports on emerging biofuel technologies and regulatory frameworks.
• Support GBA’s engagement with stakeholders including governments, industry players, research institutions, to promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
• Support planning and execution of workshops, seminars, and global events related to biofuels research and policy.
• Monitor advancements in biofuels technology, sustainability practices, and alternative fuel developments to provide strategic recommendations.
• Assist in project documentation, budget planning, and reporting for research initiatives, ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, assess trade flows, and evaluate investment opportunities to support international cooperation initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Knowledge Management, GBA, or designated officer.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
