QA Automation Engineer – Web & Mobile (Playwright + Appium)

Key Responsibilities

Automation Design & Execution

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using

Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)

for web applications.Build and maintain robust

Appium test scripts

for mobile platforms (iOS and Android).Set up and manage test automation frameworks and pipelines for CI/CD integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).✅

Test Strategy & Planning

Analyze requirements and develop scalable, maintainable automation test strategies.Work with Product Managers and Developers to define acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive test coverage.✅

Defect Management & Reporting

Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like

JIRA

or

Azure DevOps

.Generate detailed test reports and participate in root cause analysis with developers.✅

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams for integrated and efficient testing across Web and Mobile.Mentor junior QA engineers and participate in code reviews of test scripts.

Must-Have Skills

Web Automation (Playwright)

Strong experience with

Playwright

using

TypeScript/JavaScript

.Ability to automate cross-browser testing, parallel executions, and network request interception.📱

Mobile Automation (Appium)

Expertise in

Appium

with

Java, Python, or JavaScript

.Experience in mobile UI testing for native, hybrid, and web apps on

Android

and

iOS

platforms.Knowledge of device farms like

BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab

.⚙️

General QA Engineering

Strong understanding of

test lifecycle

, SDLC/STLC, and Agile methodologies.Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, XRay).Experience with

API testing

using Postman or RestAssured.

Preferred Skills

Experience in

CI/CD integration

for automated tests.Familiarity with

Docker

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.3+ years of hands-on QA automation experience with proven expertise in

Playwright and Appium
