Job Description

Job Title: Production Planning and Control (PPC) Reporting To: Deputy General Manager – PPC Job Overview The Production Planning and Control (PPC) Executive will oversee and streamline the production planning, scheduling, and control activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations in a home textile factory. This role involves close coordination with various departments, including procurement, design, quality control, and logistics, to meet production targets, maintain quality standards, and optimize resource utilization. Key Responsibilities Production Planning Develop and implement monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules based on order requirements, lead times, and factory capacity. Analyze order forecasts, production capacity, and raw material availability to prepare achievable production plans. Ensure timely communication of production plans to relevant teams. Material and Resource Planning Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials, fabrics, and trims. Optimize resource allocation to minimize waste and improve cost-efficiency. Scheduling and Workflow Management Allocate tasks and jobs across production lines to ensure maximum productivity. Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to meet deadlines. Control and Monitoring Track production performance metrics, including output, downtime, and efficiency. Implement quality checks at various production stages to ensure compliance with quality standards. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review. Team Collaboration Liaise with design, sales, and marketing teams to align production schedules with market demands and new product launches. Work closely with quality control teams to address quality issues promptly. Process Optimization Identify areas for improvement in the production process and recommend initiatives for increased efficiency and cost reduction. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other best practices to optimize production cycles. Qualifications and Skills Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology,. Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in the home textile industry. Salary: 25000-40000 Technical Skills: Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., ERP systems). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and machinery. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): On-time delivery rate. Production efficiency and productivity. Reduction in downtime and wastage.
