Pod Lead

Job Overview:

The Pod Lead – GIS Content Moderation is responsible for leading and managing a specific "pod" or team of GIS Content Moderation Associates. This role ensures the timely and quality delivery of content moderation tasks within the pod, while also fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. The Pod Lead acts as a point of escalation, provides guidance, and monitors performance to achieve project goals and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead and supervise a team of GIS Content Moderation Associates within the assigned pod.
• Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and ensure workloads are balanced.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and share updates.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to team members.
• Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and adherence to schedules.

Content Moderation Oversight:

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of GIS content moderation tasks within the pod.
• Monitor the quality of moderated content and provide feedback to team members.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex or challenging moderation cases.
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Track individual and team performance against established KPIs and SLAs.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Assistant Manager or Project Lead.
• Identify performance trends and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide feedback on team performance and contribute to performance reviews.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the pod.
• Suggest and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Document best practices and share knowledge with the team.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives led by the management team.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Maintain clear and effective communication within the pod and with other teams.
• Collaborate with other Pod Leads and support teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Communicate project updates, changes, and requirements to the team.
• Address team members' concerns and provide timely responses.

Training and Development:

• Provide initial and ongoing training to team members on content moderation tools and processes.
• Identify training needs and recommend development opportunities for team members.
• Ensure team members are up to date with project guidelines and changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in content moderation or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising a team.
• Strong understanding of GIS data and content moderation processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using content moderation tools and software.
• Familiarity with performance metrics and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with geospatial data collection or mapping technologies.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote or offshore environment
