About The Job

The Training and Placement Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering effective connections between educational institutions and the industry. The primary responsibility is to facilitate the placement of students by developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners. Additionally, the role involves coordinating training programs to enhance students' employability skills.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Liaison:

  • Build and nurture relationships with companies, industries, and employers to facilitate placement opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to understand current job market trends and employer needs.

Student Engagement

  • Provide career counseling and guidance to students, helping them identify their strengths and career goals.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance students' soft skills, interview techniques, and overall employability.

Placement Coordination

  • Coordinate and execute placement drives, both on-campus and off-campus, ensuring smooth logistics and participation from employers.
  • Maintain an updated database of student profiles, placements, and feedback.

Internship Facilitation

  • Work with companies to secure internship opportunities for students to gain practical industry experience.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of students during internships.

Data Analysis And Reporting

  • Analyze placement data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and success stories.
  • Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders on placement activities and outcomes.

Career Development Programs

  • Develop and implement programs to enhance students' career readiness, including resume building, mock interviews, and professional networking.

Alumni Engagement

  • Engage with alumni networks to create job opportunities for current students.
  • Leverage alumni experiences to provide insights into industry expectations.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in placement coordination or related roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, job market dynamics, and employer expectations.
  • Ability to collaborate with both educational institutions and corporate partners.
  • Familiarity with career counseling and training methodologies.
