Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee and manage our government-contracted vehicle operations across Mumbai Metro, GST Office, BMC, Panvel, and Mira Road Municipal Corporations. The role involves day-to-day fleet coordination, vendor management, government liaison, and team handling, with a focus on timely deployment and high vehicle availability standards. Key Responsibilities: Fleet & Operations Management Ensure 400+ vehicles (Innova, Dzire, Ertiga, and others) are deployed daily as per contract terms. Oversee daily route planning, deployment schedules, and driver coordination. Monitor vehicle performance, GPS tracking, and timely reporting of breakdowns or delays. Manage own fleet (20%) and coordinate with third-party vendors (80%) for leased/rented vehicles. Vehicle Procurement & Maintenance Plan and oversee new vehicle acquisition for fleet expansion or replacement. Track servicing schedules, insurance renewals, documentation, and permit compliance. Maintain health of company-owned vehicles through preventive maintenance. Team & Driver Supervision Supervise a team of field coordinators, dispatchers, and support staff. Ensure discipline, attendance, and professional conduct of drivers. Conduct weekly reviews and performance reports. Liaison & Government Coordination Maintain professional relations with metro rail officials, GST office, and municipal officers. Ensure complaint resolution, document submission, and contract compliance. Represent the company during audits, reviews, or official meetings. Vendor & Cost Control Manage and audit payments to external vehicle providers. Negotiate rates with vehicle vendors for cost-effective fleet management. Keep operational costs within budget without compromising on service delivery. Eligibility & Skills: Qualification: Graduate (mandatory), MBA preferred (Operations / Logistics / Transport Management) Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in fleet operations, transport services, or similar field. Experience in handling government/PSU transport contracts will be preferred. Skills: Strong leadership and team management. Excellent communication in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Proficiency in MS Excel, WhatsApp Business, GPS dashboards. Good at negotiation, planning, and multitasking. Remuneration: Competitive salary based on experience + performance-linked incentives. Mobile expenses, fuel reimbursement (field visits), and official travel allowance.
