L1 Support Engineer Job Description Role Overview Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries in person, via phone, email, or ticketing. Provide basic hardware, software, and network troubleshooting support. Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams following escalation protocols. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve basic hardware issues (PCs, laptops, printers, scanners). Troubleshoot software issues (OS, MS Office, VPN, antivirus). Check and fix network connectivity issues (LAN/WiFi, IP configuration, DNS, DHCP, basic switch/router checks) Install, configure, and maintain desktops, peripherals, and related IT hardware. Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory resolution. Escalate issues beyond L1 scope to senior support teams. Contribute to a knowledge base by documenting recurring issues and their resolutions Qualifications Any graduation (Bachelors degree in any discipline sufficient). Freshers or professionals with up to 2 years’ experience in IT helpdesk or desktop support. Skills & Knowledge Requirements Sound knowledge of computer hardware and basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WiFi) Able to use ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, ServiceNow, Zoho) and remote tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer) Troubleshoot and resolve basic desktop and network issues. Install and configure hardware/peripherals (PCs, printers, routers). Certification (Optional but Beneficial) CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA in progress or completed . Locations & Salary Locations: Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Dehradun, Sahibabad Salary : 12,000/month
