Marketing Data Analyst

100% Remote Data Analyst (Marketing/Media)

3 month contrac to start, high possibiity of extensions

Must haves:

-5+ years of experience with data analysis of internal AND external data sets

-Intermediate to advanced SQL skills – queries, data extractions, manipulating data, etc (must be able to query TB worth of data)

-Advanced Excel skills – vlookups, pivot tables, etc

-Experience working with structured/unstructured datasets, ability to clearly document and communicate requirement to technical team members.

-Deep understanding of how data moves across an ecosystem and inputting data into a foundation

-Ability to coordinate with technical teams

-Informatica experience (AXON and EDC highly preferred)

-Azure Cloud services or similar expertise in another public cloud

-Great communication, documentation and critical thinking skills

Plusses:

-Experience with Databricks

-Experience in Python

-Media/marketing data background

-Experience analyzing social media data from Facebook, TikTok or Meta

-Experience working with 3rd party data providers such as Cercana/Neilson

-Experience with marketing reporting tools

-Experience working within a governance/stewardship organization

-Experience in Food/Beverage/Manufacturing or Consumer Products industry

Day to day:

A Fortune 100 client is seeking to hire a Sr. Data Analyst within India. Analyst would be sitting within the Data Stewardship and Governance organization. As a member of this Data Analyst team, you will be helping support an initiative to better the creation and standardization of the clients marketing scorecards. Exposure to media or marketing data would be extremely beneficial as analysts will be analyzing Terabytes of external data sets, including data from social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Meta.

Accountabilities:

• Define the data requirements and data quality definitions.
• Work closely with Data Stewards to identify data sources.
• Define the Scorecard requirements and work closely with Service Design and BI Designers to create the wireframes.
• Work closely with Data Engineering and Data Visualization/BI to deploy the product in new markets, drive improvements, and handle user feedback.
• Translate the product vision into concrete feature requirements/user stories/technical data requirements, generally in conjunction with Data Engineering and Data Visualization/BI
