Job Description

Marketing Business Data Analyst (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:

    Gather and analyze

    daily, weekly, and monthly

    performance metrics across various marketing channels (Facebook, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and other ad platforms).
    • Track

      backend conversions

      and correlate them with front-end marketing data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
    • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations for campaign managers to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Anomaly Detection & Troubleshooting:

    • Investigate

      data discrepancies

      , missing conversions, or irregularities in marketing performance.
    • Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve tracking, attribution, or reporting issues.
    • Identify any

      drop-offs in lead flow, data mismatches

      , or technical issues impacting performance.
  • Campaign Insights & Optimization:

    • Provide actionable insights to campaign managers on

      lead quality, cost per lead (CPL), return on ad spend (ROAS),

      and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Analyze audience behavior, ad performance, and backend conversion rates to recommend targeting and bidding strategy changes.
    • Monitor

      A/B tests

      and experiments, sharing insights on creative, audience, and landing page performance.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement:

    • Work closely with media buyers, marketing managers, and sales teams to align campaign goals with backend performance.
    • Assist in

      data tracking, attribution modeling

      , and integrating multiple data sources for a unified view of campaign success.
    • Continuously improve reporting processes and automation for efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience as a

      Marketing Data Analyst

      /

      Business Analyst / Data Analyst in a marketing, digital advertising, or performance marketing environment

      .
    • Hands-on experience with

      Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, and other ad platforms

      .
    • Strong understanding of

      lead funnels, backend conversions, attribution models, and tracking pixels

      .
    • Should be comfortable working from 7am IST

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in

      Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)

      .
    • Experience with

      SQL, Python, or R

      for data extraction and analysis (preferred but not required).
    • Familiarity with

      Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools

      .
    • Knowledge of

      UTM parameters, tracking tools, and marketing automation platforms

      is a plus.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

    • Strong ability to

      identify trends, spot anomalies, and translate data into actionable insights

      .
    • Comfortable troubleshooting

      data discrepancies

      and working with teams to resolve tracking issues.
    • Ability to break down complex datasets and

      tell a compelling data-driven story

      .
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to

      effectively present insights

      to marketing teams.
    • Ability to

      work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

      .
    • A proactive approach to improving reporting processes and automation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in

    lead generation, mass tort, SSD, or other legal marketing campaigns

    .
  • Understanding of

    Facebooks Conversions API, Google Tag Manager, and first-party data tracking

    .
  • Prior experience with

    marketing mix modeling or incrementality testing

    .
