Manager – Centre for Research Alliance University Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (On-site) Alliance University is a Private University established in Karnataka State by Act No. 34 of the year 2010. Job Title: Manager - Centre for Research Reporting To: Associate Director, Centre for Research Location: Bengaluru Job Summary: The Manager – Centre for Research plays a pivotal role in supporting and advancing the university’s research initiatives, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, managing funded research projects, and coordinating academic and scholarly events. The role demands a dynamic individual who can handle administrative, academic, and operational aspects of the research ecosystem, with a special focus on external collaborations, compliance, and real-time project coordination. Key Responsibilities: Provide academic and administrative support for PhD scholars, including monitoring progress and managing candidacy reports and overlooking the complete Ph.D. program Support in managing finances of R&D projects funded by government and non-government agencies (e.g., DST, DRDO, SERB, CSIR, IITs). Prepare Utilization Certificates (UCs), financial reports, and compliance documentation for funding agencies and liaise with internal finance teams and external funding bodies to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage the database for all Centre of Excellence, and other research related activities such as publications. Handle end-to-end online coordination, logistics tracking, real-time crisis management for research driven events. Coordinate with the Branding and Social Media Teams to amplify visibility of research activities across platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram). Qualifications & Experience: Postgraduate degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant discipline. Proven experience in academic/research office administration and research project management. Familiarity with funding processes and financial reporting in research projects is highly desirable. Experience working with higher education institutions and interacting with government agencies and international collaborators is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: Strong organizational, coordination, and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in handling data, documentation, and online platforms for virtual events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in tools such as MS. Excel, MS Office, Google Workspace, project tracking software, and social media platforms. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve real-time issues effectively. Show more Show less
