Job Title: Mainframe Developer Location : Hyderabad Job Type : Full-time Exp : 5-8 yrs Notice : Only Immediate Joiners Interview Mode: 1 round F2F is Mandatory Required Skills & Experience: 5 - 8 Years of experience in mainframe programming Programming Languages: COBOL, JCL, CICS Database Management: Strong knowledge of VSAM and DB2 COBOL Debugging Tool: Xpeditor Version Control: Expertise in Endevor or similar tools CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins . Messaging Queues: Knowledge of IBM MQ IBM Mainframe Utilities (IEBGENER, SORT, IDCAMS, etc.) File Transmission: NDM, FTP& SFTP Position Overview Developer with experience in design, coding, testing and documentation of new or modified applications developed on the IBM z/OS Mainframe platform. Has knowledge and experience in COBOL, JCL,VSAM/DB2 and CICS, along with a deep understanding of batch and online and processing. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Git. Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and provide support to applications already in production. Responsibilities Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical design specifications Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS with Mainframe tools and utilities. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices Optimize mainframe application performance and troubleshoot issues. Work with batch processing systems and scheduling tools like CA-7. Update and maintain technical documentation Participate in Agile planning and standup meetings Desired Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills both batch and online Debugging: Skilled in identifying and fixing bugs in code and systems. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
