Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Software Engineer to be the foundational technical leader of our in-house development efforts. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to take significant ownership, drive technical direction, and deliver high-quality solutions. As our sole on-site developer initially, you will be instrumental in shaping our technology landscape and future team. Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js . Technical Leadership & Ownership: Take complete ownership of projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. UI/UX Implementation: Implement modern and responsive user interfaces, leveraging frameworks like Shadcn UI to deliver exceptional user experiences. Architectural Design: Contribute to and eventually lead the architectural design of our software systems. Mentorship & Team Building: Lead and mentor future engineering hires, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment as we grow. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our applications. Code Quality: Uphold and champion best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation. Required Skills & Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a production environment as a software engineer. Demonstrable expertise in React, Node.js, and Next.js . Strong understanding and experience with modern UI frameworks such as Shadcn UI . Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver measurable output. Experience in leading and managing teams , or a strong desire and aptitude to do so. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to quality. Bonus Points: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP . Experience with database design and optimization. Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
