About the Role:

Citco Technology Management is looking for an IT Developer to develop and maintain monolith applications. You will be part of the IT department that manages the core accounting platform for the firm. You will be closely working with a talented bunch of product managers, architects and developers across the globe.

The ideal candidate should have a solid application development background with strong technical skills in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, design patterns and openapi. Any experience with cloud development (AWS, GCP) is a plus.

Education, Experience and Skill

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience developing application using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Swagger/Open Api 3.
• Sound knowledge of design patterns.
• Any formal Cloud based training and any industry cloud related industry accredited certification is a plus.
• Have an understanding of authentication and authorization aspects for API’s.
• Have a working knowledge of Docker.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Well rounded individual capable of performing several roles with ability to work in a fast paced, complex IT environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English.
• Self-driven and and a good team player.

Job Duties in Brief :

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain microservices.
• Maintain working knowledge of technical enhancements and new functionality.
• Communicate effectively with peers and leads.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in API’s.
• Learn, adapt, test/evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Write and execute unit & integration tests.
• Coordinate with the release engineers to release new features and bug fixes into higher environments.
• Provide technical documentation for API’s.
• Good knowledge of Design Patterns.

About You :

Position reports to the Development Lead/Manager under the Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFAIT) department.

HFAIT department manages the core accounting platform( Æxeo ®) and datawarehouse within Citco. The platform is used by clients globally and is the first true straight-through, proprietary front-to-back solution for hedge funds that uses a single database for all activities including order capture, position and P&L reporting and accounting.
