Position Overview The IT Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and managing our technology infrastructure to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. This role requires a hands-on professional who is passionate about IT systems, security, and delivering innovative solutions to support our dynamic team. You’ll work closely with the IT Manager to maintain high service standards across the organization. Key Responsibilities IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage. Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure minimal downtime for all systems. Network Security: Assist in implementing network security protocols, monitoring systems, and promptly addressing security vulnerabilities to maintain data integrity and confidentiality. System Maintenance: Regularly update and patch software, perform system backups, and manage system configurations for all devices within the organization. Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Manager to support the deployment of new tools and technologies and ensure alignment with the company’s business objectives. Documentation: Document system configurations, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting guides to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and operational efficiency. Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, maintain inventory, and ensure the effective deployment of equipment and software across the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in IT engineering or a similar role, with hands-on expertise in managing networked systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting. Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and firewall management. Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Familiarity with cloud environments, virtualization, and remote access technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Experience with network monitoring tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
