About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of goods and services while maintaining quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize procurement processes to support business operations and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and ensure cost savings and efficiency.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, purchase order creation, and contract management.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct periodic reviews, and resolve any supply chain issues or disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (finance, operations, legal, and project teams) to understand procurement needs and specifications.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and supplier innovations.
  • Lead and mentor procurement team members to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Prepare procurement reports and present insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement workflows and leverage technology/tools.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership qualities with experience managing a team.
