Job Description

The 'Precast Works Competency Centre' (PWCC) operates as a capability-based competency centre as part of a strategic initiative of the L&T Construction Group. It aims to achieve excellence in precast works through world-class skill, quality, and safety. The centre is supported by a highly productive lean team that leverages state-of-the-art technology to ensure cost-effective and timely execution. The initiative is geared towards enhancing long-term growth prospects and fulfilling the business needs of the L&T Construction Group. The centre focuses on improving efficiency and timely execution, fostering innovation, adopting futuristic technologies, building functional expertise, and embracing digital solutions. As the Learning and Organizational Development Lead at PWCC, you will be instrumental in devising and executing comprehensive capability-building programs that support the company's strategic goals for precast projects. Key Deliverables Precast Installation Management: Lead and supervise the installation of precast concrete elements on site, ensuring they meet project specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. Manage the precast installation schedule, ensuring work is completed on time and in line with project milestones. Oversee the coordination of logistics and materials for precast elements delivery and handling. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor installation teams, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting during installation. Ensure adequate manpower is assigned for the timely and efficient installation of precast components. Conduct regular site meetings with the installation team to assess progress and resolve issues. Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety procedures and ensure that all installation activities comply with local safety regulations and company policies. Perform risk assessments for each installation phase and implement corrective actions as necessary. Quality Assurance: Monitor the installation process to ensure that quality control standards are maintained throughout the project. Conduct inspections and tests on installed precast elements to verify conformity to engineering drawings and specifications. Collaboration & Reporting: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any installation-related challenges. Provide daily or weekly progress reports to the project manager, highlighting issues, progress, and any changes to the scope of work. Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential issues related to precast installation and take necessary corrective measures. Address and resolve on-site challenges quickly, ensuring minimal delays to project timelines. Show more Show less
