The ideal candidate is highly skilled in modern culinary techniques, understands current food and plating trends, and is comfortable working in fast-paced bar and kitchen environments. You’ll collaborate closely with our chefs, management, and operations teams to bring our brand vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

Food Trials & Recipe Development

• Execute

  on-ground food trials

  for new and existing menu items.
• Test recipes for consistency, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Fine-tune flavours, textures, and cooking techniques based on feedback.
• Document trial results, adjustments, and SOPs for kitchen staff.

Plating & Food Presentation

• Develop innovative and visually appealing

  plating concepts

  .
• Ensure dishes meet high aesthetic standards suitable for a premium bar and kitchen setting.
• Train kitchen staff on replicating plating styles consistently.
• Stay updated with

  global plating trends

  and propose fresh ideas to keep the menu exciting.

Menu Development & Innovation

• Collaborate with the culinary team to design a menu aligned with the brand concept.
• Suggest new dishes, ingredient combinations, and presentation styles.
• Help create

  seasonal or theme-based menus

  for special events or promotions.

Operational Support

• Assist in designing efficient kitchen workflows for trial sessions.
• Support sourcing of unique ingredients, garnishes, or plating props.
• Identify and resolve any issues arising during trials or live kitchen executions.
• Provide insights on

  portion control, yield management, and cost optimization.

Quality Control & Standards

• Maintain

  quality benchmarks

  for taste, presentation, and hygiene.
• Develop clear guidelines and SOPs for food preparation and presentation.
• Conduct periodic quality checks during trials to ensure adherence to brand standards.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Train chefs and kitchen staff on new recipes, plating techniques, and presentation standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to help the team enhance skills.
• Prepare training materials, reference photos, or plating guides.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum

  5+ years of experience

  as a Food Consultant, Chef, or Culinary Expert, preferably in premium bars, lounges, or modern kitchens.
• Expertise in

  modern plating techniques, food styling, and presentation.

• Solid understanding of

  culinary trends, ingredient sourcing, and innovative food concepts.

• Excellent palate and a strong sense of taste, texture, and visual aesthetics.
• Proven ability to

  troubleshoot kitchen challenges

  and find creative solutions.
• Strong documentation skills for recipe writing, SOP creation, and reporting.
• Comfortable working on-ground in a

  freelance capacity

  with flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

• Based in Hyderabad

  or willing to travel locally for project work.
• Degree or diploma in culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory if offset by significant practical experience.

Project Duration & Compensation

• Freelance / Project-based engagement.

• Duration: To be discussed based on project scope and milestones.
• Competitive professional fees based on experience and scope of work.
