Electrical Site Engineer

Job description As an Electrical Site Engineer, your role is to oversee, execute and manage electrical construction projects at various sites You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems are installed, operated, and maintained correctly and in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with this role: Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with Project managers, SCM, Design & Engineering team and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop electrical system plans and designs. Installation Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment on-site. Coordinate with electrical contractors and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and industry standards Quality Assurance: Perform regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that electrical work is being carried out according to approved plans and standards Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies, ensuring that electrical systems are installed correctly and functioning properly for handing over to end client. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Ensure that electrical installations meet safety codes and regulations, and address any safety concerns promptly Project Coordination: Coordinate with other trades and disciplines on-site to ensure proper integration and coordination of electrical systems with other construction activities. Communicate effectively with project teams and provide technical guidance as needed. Material and Equipment Management: Plan and manage the procurement, delivery, and storage of electrical materials, equipment, and tools required for the project Ensure that inventory is maintained, and proper documentation is maintained for materials used. Maintaining proper weekly, daily reports and ensuring project work progress as per approved L2/L3 schedules. Controlling contractor properly, verification of JMC’s and processing further to HO for payments accordingly. Making proper JMC/RFI in accordance with client technical specifications, Proper reporting to client / Client handling. Maintained cable laying and cutting length documentation to facilitate timely and accurate submission of Joint Measurement Certificates (JMCs), minimizing delays in the process. Ensured zero-tolerance planning and execution of all witness arrangements related to Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and erection activities, ensuring compliance with project timelines and quality standards. Demonstrated ability to efficiently close projects by ensuring timely handover of spares and swift closure of punch points, minimizing project duration and ensuring smooth transition to operation and maintenance teams Role: Electrical Engineer Industry Type: AIS / GIS substations, Transmission Line.
