Electrical Engineer - Fresher

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Electrical Engineer – Fresher with a strong theoretical background and a willingness to apply concepts in practical environments. The ideal candidate should have a sound academic understanding of core electrical engineering principles and demonstrate an eagerness to learn and grow on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in electrical project execution, including design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Apply theoretical knowledge of circuit theory, power systems, electrical machines, and control systems in real-time applications.
• Participate in preparation and interpretation of single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring schematics, and cable schedules.
• Conduct basic load calculations, voltage drop analysis, cable sizing, and selection of protective devices.
• Perform basic equipment testing using tools like multimeters, meggers, clamp meters, etc.
• Support in troubleshooting of faults and suggest improvements based on electrical fundamentals.
• Learn and utilize tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink, or PLC-based control systems (training will be provided if needed).
• Follow all electrical safety protocols and regulatory standards (IS, IEC, NEC) during field activities.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, project reports, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

Theoretical Knowledge Expected:

• Circuit Theory: Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws, AC/DC analysis, Thevenin/Norton equivalents.
• Electrical Machines: Operating principles of transformers, motors, generators (DC and AC).
• Power Systems: Generation, transmission, distribution fundamentals, fault analysis basics.
• Measurement & Instrumentation: Working of ammeters, voltmeters, CTs, PTs, relays.
• Control Systems: Basics of open/closed-loop systems, feedback control, and automation concepts.
• Electrical Design: Basics of electrical load planning, earthing systems, and panel wiring.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

• Strong academic foundation with good grades in core electrical subjects.
• Eagerness to apply classroom knowledge to industrial or site-based projects.
• Good communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
• Exposure to software tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB, PLCs, etc.) will be an advantage.
