Job Description

Senior Data Scientist We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), Generative AI , and Python-based API development . The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with unstructured data, building and deploying AI models, and working in cloud-native environments (GCP preferred) . This role will focus on building scalable, real-world AI/ML solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to AI-driven innovation. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop robust NLP and CV models to extract insights from text and image data. Work with Generative AI frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, OpenAI) to build and fine-tune LLMs for real-time applications. Build and expose AI models as APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks. Perform advanced data preprocessing, feature extraction, model training, and evaluation . Implement scalable AI solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Vertex AI and BigQuery. Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and business stakeholders to define and execute AI/ML strategies. Keep up with emerging trends in AI/ML, particularly in GenAI and foundation models, and apply them to solve real-world problems. Required Skills: Core Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python with solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) Experience in: Natural Language Processing (NLP) – sentiment analysis, NER, text classification Computer Vision (CV) – image processing, OCR, object detection Generative AI – working with Hugging Face Transformers, LLM APIs, prompt engineering Strong understanding of ML algorithms , deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) API development using FastAPI Cloud & MLOps Skills: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , especially: Vertex AI BigQuery Cloud Functions/Run Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker ) and Git-based version control Understanding of MLOps practices – model lifecycle, CI/CD for ML Good to Have: Experience working with Hugging Face model hub , OpenAI APIs Knowledge of LangChain , RAG pipelines , or similar GenAI orchestration tools Exposure to responsible AI practices , model explainability, and bias detection Basic understanding of data engineering workflows Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams Ability to work in agile and fast-paced environments Continuous learning mindset with an interest in AI innovation Experience : 5Yrs to 12 Yrs Location : Chennai/Pune/Coimbatore/Bangalore Notice Period : Immediate Regards, TA Team KANINI Software Solutions
