Job Summary The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data related to production, inventory, logistics, and administrative records. This role ensures smooth data management and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities 1. Data Entry & Management Enter and update production data, inventory records, and purchase orders in ERP or database systems. Maintain and verify stock levels, raw material usage, and finished goods output. Record machine downtime, maintenance schedules, and employee work hours. Ensure data accuracy by cross-checking with physical records and reports.simplyhired.co.in+1business.linkedin.com+1 2. Inventory & Stock Control Assist in monitoring inventory movements and reconciling stock discrepancies. Generate stock reports for procurement and supply chain teams. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Maintain digital and physical records of invoices, delivery notes, and work orders. Assist with compliance-related documentation as per factory standards.simplyhired.co.in+1careers-page.com+1 4. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with production supervisors, storekeepers, and logistics teams to update records. Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding order updates and deliveries. Support the HR or accounts department with payroll data entry (if required).simplyhired.co.in 5. Quality & Compliance Ensure that all data entered follows company policies and manufacturing regulations Assist in audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and reports and resume design. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: BCom Graduation and Knowledge of Computer Operations Experience: 1-3 years of experience in data entry, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and data management software (ERP, SAP, Tally, etc.). Fast and accurate typing skills. Knowledge of factory operations and inventory management is an advantage. Soft Skills: Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure in a factory environment. Work Environment & Conditions Location: Factory office or production area. Work Schedule: Typically full-time (may involve shift work depending on the factory’s operations). Physical Demands: Mostly desk-based, but occasional visits to the production floor may be required.
