Job Title: Costing Engineer
Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh
Industry: Sheet Metal Manufacturing
Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 1–3 years (preferably in sheet metal or fabrication industry)
Preference: Male Candidate Only
Salary: As per company norms and experience
Job Role / Purpose:
To prepare accurate cost estimations for sheet metal components and assemblies by analyzing design specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes. The role supports strategic pricing decisions, ensures effective cost control, and contributes to continuous profitability improvement.
Key Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in sheet metal manufacturing (cutting, bending, welding, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of cost estimation and analysis
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
* Understanding of raw materials, standard costing, and variance analysis
Other Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and coordination abilities
* Proficiency in MS Excel and costing tools
* Time management and multitasking abilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates for new product developments and customer RFQs
* Analyze material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs
* Work closely with design, procurement, and production teams for cost data
* Update costing data in ERP systems and maintain pricing records
* Conduct cost variance analysis and report findings
* Support price negotiation by providing accurate costing insights
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
* Generate costing and profitability reports for management

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
