Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis. You will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Management & Reporting:
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
· Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Monitor company’s financial performance and provide insights to management on financial health.
· Audit & Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with SEBI, stock exchange regulations, and other regulatory requirements applicable to the broking industry.
· Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
· Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (GST, income tax, etc.).
· Cost & Budgeting:
· Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, tracking company performance against financial targets.
· Conduct cost analysis to optimize operations and drive profitability.
Taxation:
· Ensure timely payment of all tax liabilities, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax.
· Liaise with tax authorities and consultants for tax planning and compliance matters.
Accounts Payable/Receivable Management:
· Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
· Monitor collections, payments, and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping.
Stock Broking Related Functions:
· Manage accounting for trading activities, including settlement of trades, brokerage income, and transaction costs.
· Reconcile client accounts and handle financial queries related to stock broking activities.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement:
· Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and processes.
· Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership:
· Lead and mentor junior accountants and finance staff, providing guidance on best practices.
· Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, compliance) to ensure financial alignment with business goals.
Qualifications:
· Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Finance.
· Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience:
· 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably in the stock broking industry or financial services.
Skills:
· Strong knowledge of SEBI regulations, stock exchange requirements, and accounting practices specific to broking firms.
· Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
· Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· High attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
