About the Role: Head – Category (E-commerce Marketplace) For our own cross-border e-commerce marketplace, we’re looking for a growth-focused, P&L-driven Head – Category to lead category expansion, channel strategy, and commercial outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will be responsible for shaping category strategy, curating product assortments, and driving end-to-end performance across key verticals on our global platform. You’ll play a pivotal role in scaling goGlocal’s digital shelf - building India’s most export-ready product assortment for global consumers. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end category P&L on goGlocal’s e-commerce marketplace platform Define and execute category growth strategy tailored to international online buyer demand Curate product assortments by identifying high-potential brands and SKUs for export Collaborate with sourcing and brand onboarding teams to ensure availability and readiness Develop and manage pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies across digital channels Monitor performance metrics such as sales, conversions, returns, and margins; take corrective action as needed Lead channel-specific category optimization strategies (e.g., search rankings, content, pricing algorithms) Work closely with product, tech, and marketing teams to enhance the digital shopping experience Stay on top of global e-commerce trends, consumer behavior, and category benchmarks Ensure compliance with international standards for product listings, packaging, and documentation Requirements 5+ years of experience in category management, e-commerce buying, or digital marketplace operations Strong experience managing P&L and performance metrics across online retail or marketplace platforms Proven success in driving category growth and scaling assortments for e-commerce Deep understanding of Indian supplier ecosystems and D2C brand readiness Analytical mindset with comfort in using data to make pricing, assortment, and promotion decisions Experience with cross-border commerce, international logistics, or export compliance is a plus Hands-on familiarity with e-commerce CMS, tools, dashboards, and platforms (Amazon, Shopify, etc.) Bachelor’s degree in Business, E-commerce, or Marketing (MBA preferred) What You’ll Gain Ownership of category growth on goGlocal’s global marketplace platform Direct impact on the success of India’s next major e-commerce export platform Opportunity to lead growth across digital-first categories and global retail formats Competitive compensation with growth-based incentives High-performance culture with innovation, autonomy, and execution at its core Ready to own the P&L and scale categories on a global e-commerce stage?
