Job Title: ATL Lab Teacher / Innovation & Tinkering Facilitator

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an ATL Lab Teacher at Gian Jyoti Global School, Mohali. To facilitate innovation and creativity among students by managing and conducting activities in the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL). The role is aimed at promoting STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on, project-based learning. Prior experience, preferably in a school setting, is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lab Management

  • Ensure the smooth functioning of ATL lab equipment and tools.
  • Maintain inventory of all materials and consumables.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the lab.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance and replenishment.

2. Student Engagement & Project Facilitation

  • Guide students in ATL projects and innovations.
  • Conduct regular tinkering sessions and hands-on workshops.
  • Motivate students to participate in competitions such as the ATL Marathon, CBSE Science Exhibition, and the Robotics Competition.
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through real-world projects.

3. Curriculum Integration

  • Collaborate with subject teachers to integrate ATL activities with academics.
  • Design engaging modules aligned with STEM learning and NEP guidelines.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintaining proper record on ATL portal.
  • Maintain records of attendance, student progress, and project outcomes.
  • Submit reports to the school and ATL authorities (e.g., NITI Aayog).
  • Ensure data is regularly updated on the official ATL dashboard/portal.

5. Training & Development

  • Attend ATL-related training and capacity-building programs from time to time.
  • Conduct orientation and training for students and staff on ATL tools and techniques.

Qualification & Skills Required

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Preferred: B.Ed. or Diploma in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or STEM education.
  • Minimum 8-11 years of experience in a similar teaching/training role preferred.
  • Knowledge of Robotics, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D Printing, and Basic Electronics.
  • Programming skills in platforms/languages such as Scratch, Python, or similar.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring abilities.
  • Creative, innovative mind-set with a student-friendly teaching approach.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month

  • Mohali, Punjab: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
