Job Description

As an Assistant Accounts Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and assisting in financial planning and reporting activities. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines are key to succeeding in this role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in managing the overall accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.


  • Prepare and review financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.


  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.


  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.


  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and income tax.


  • Liaise with internal teams, auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.


  • Monitor and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.


  • Support in payroll processing and employee reimbursements.


  • Manage vendor payments and customer collections.


  • Assist in audits and coordinate the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.


  • Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.


  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.


  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation laws, and compliance.


  • Knowledge of international accounting standards and global financial practices is a plus.


  • Advanced MS Excel skills.


  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.


  • Ability to manage the daily tasks and performance of a Team of 4 to 5 Accountants.


  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment with the CFO directly.
