Role Overview

UI/UX Designer Intern

Success in this role

You’ll report to the Product Design Lead and work closely with founders, engineers, and user research leads.

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD
• Translate core product requirements into intuitive, aesthetically elevated UI
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate and iterate on designs
• Maintain and evolve the product’s design system and component library
• Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect design implementation
• Apply user-centered design principles to ensure a consistent and engaging experience across devices
• Participate in weekly design reviews and rapid prototyping sprints

Qualifications

Required:

• Portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work (especially mobile-first interfaces)
• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, responsiveness, and accessibility
• Comfortable with iterative feedback cycles and fast-paced design execution
• Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback
• Passion for crafting human-first design experiences

Bonus Points For:

• Experience working on consumer-facing products with complex UX flows
• Familiarity with animation libraries or tools (Framer, Protopie)
• Basic knowledge of frontend handoff tools or HTML/CSS fundamentals
• Prior work with emotional, conversational, or interactive interfaces

Education:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in UX Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or a related field
