Job Summary
The Business Analyst – Traceability will play a key role in advancing our supply chain transparency and ESG efforts. The individual will lead data-driven traceability initiatives, support benchmarking and research projects, and manage assigned ESG programs in line with Fossil’s global sustainability strategies. The role involves extensive coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with reporting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support traceability-related projects that ensure visibility and compliance across Fossil’s global supply chain.
- Analyze supply chain sustainability data and ESG disclosures, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Conduct supplier engagement initiatives for material traceability, sustainable sourcing, and related disclosures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver reporting aligned with industry standards and customer expectations.
- Benchmark best practices across the retail and fashion industry on carbon reduction, transparency, and circularity.
- Support the implementation of ESG reporting frameworks (SBTi, CDP, TCFD, GRI, SAC Higg, etc.).
- Create compelling presentations, dashboards, and documentation for both internal and external ESG communication.
- Work with sustainability leads across regions to drive aligned strategies and goals.

- Internal: Fossil Global and Local business teams, ESG Data/Reporting, Sourcing, Legal, Supply Chain
- External: Vendors, Suppliers, Service Providers, and Global ESG partners
Job Requirements

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, sustainability, and environmental science
- Certification or formal training in any sustainability disclosure framework would be an added advantage
Relevant Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in one of the areas of carbon management, sustainable materials, traceability, and supply chain sustainability
- Experience in working on organizational data and multiple stakeholders for ESG disclosure (consulting experience is preferred)
Behavioral Skills
- Strong project management, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for sustainability
- Have the ability to share knowledge and is capable of being cognizant of divergent viewpoints in a diverse, multicultural environment
Knowledge
- Knowledge of traceability and supply chain in the retail or manufacturing industry would be an advantage
- Knowledge of global social and environmental compliance on supply chain sustainability
- Hands-on experience in handling multi-stakeholder initiatives and ESG frameworks/ratings (such as SBTi, CDP, SAC Higgs, Corp B, DJSI, TCFD, GRI)
