Function Description:

The Network & Acquirer Solutions (NSO) acts on behalf of the Enterprise (agnostic to Issuer and Acquirer) to develop and enable products and capabilities for the American Express Global Network (AEGN). The Network & ATM Settlement Solutions team within NAS is primarily responsible for transferring funds between American Express (AXP) and GNS Partners or ATM Service Providers, managing the related contractual fees, and resolving ATM billing discrepancies or Disputes.

Purpose of the Role

As the Network & Acquirer Solutions Team (NAS), we are responsible for managing financial settlements and contractual fees, moving funds between American Express and Global Network and ATM partners, supporting 280+ partners and making sure $70bn a year is settled accurately and on time. We work closely with multiple business partners in the fast-paced world of payments. If you want to learn about world of payments and enjoy problem solving, then this is the team for you. And thus, this role will be to process critical Network partner payments, Accounting & Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts & is required to collaborate with Partner relationship mangers & Strategic relationship teams based in the UK.

This job posting for Analyst/Sr. Analyst in Network Settlement Team will be responsible for managing Critical Daily Financial Settlements between American Express (AXP) and GNS Partners (who are licensed to issue and acquire on the network) ensuring settlements are timely and accurate.

Responsibilities:

-           Drive Transformation and Process Improvements within the process consistently identifying opportunities to improve and drive forward initiatives related to servicing quality, TAT and Network business.

-           Processor of Partner payments using Network Force and Straight to Bank payments platform (multi-million US$ transactions).

 
-           Person having a brief knowledge on Card Industry and its process linkage would be preferred.

-           Follow up with key linkages to deliver on operational expertise, outstanding inputs, Customer Query Management.

-           Support SOX Testing requirements and Internal Audit requests and ensure Nil observations.

-           Support BCP Planning and Testing, participate in table‐top and other BCP exercise as per GNO India critical BCP plan.

-           Must be able to meet deadlines to provide quality customer service and ensure business targets are met with the minimum possible exposure.

-           Maintain 100% control & compliance matrix for the Network & ATM Settlements Business.

-           High levels of Confidence to independently translate matrix relationships.

-           Solid Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal, With Internal and External Customers.

-           Knowledge of MS Office Applications. Must be able to successfully navigate through intranet applications applicable within the team.

-           Ability to work within a team environment and with diverse team members.

-           Full time B. Com / Or Specialization in Commerce stream.

-           Get up to speed quickly and gain a good understanding of NAS Business and broad knowledge of Settlements process.

-           Strong analytical skill with the ability to identify the root cause of problems and have ability to exercise sounds judgment in support of team responsibilities.

-           Proficient communicator with constructive written and verbal communication with a high level of customer focus.

-           Good Teamwork ethic and Drive Results though Collaboration

-           Accuracy levels at a high standard

-           Computer literate (MS Word, Excel).

-           Working knowledge on spreadsheet controls.

-           Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and proactively drive change forward.

-           Flexible and engaging team member with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
