Student Retention specialist

Position Summary: The Student Retention Specialist plays a critical role in supporting student success and ensuring continuity of enrollment. This role involves proactive communication with parents and students, identifying barriers to engagement, and implementing strategies to retain students throughout the academic journey. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, data-driven, and passionate about student success. Key Responsibilities: Engagement & Communication: Maintain regular, friendly communication with parents and students to ensure satisfaction and address concerns. Conduct check-in calls/emails with families who show signs of disengagement or irregular attendance. Coordinate feedback sessions post-classes and follow up on concerns with the academic team. Retention Strategies & Execution: Track attendance and class participation; identify at-risk students and intervene early. Create personalized retention plans and work with the academic coordinator and tutors to implement solutions. Promote re-enrollments by highlighting progress and future learning goals. Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student engagement, satisfaction levels, and retention statistics. Prepare weekly/monthly retention reports and recommend improvements. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, academic, and support teams to ensure seamless student experiences. Assist in onboarding and orientation sessions to set clear expectations with students and families. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Communications, or related field. Prior experience in education, client relations, or student support roles preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong organizational and follow-up abilities. Empathy, patience, and a problem-solving mindset.
