Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration).
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, Dynatrace, etc.).
  • Configure MID Servers, schedules, probes, sensors, and credentials for effective Discovery.
  • Optimize CMDB health by improving data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Implement CI Class Models and define identification and reconciliation rules.
  • Build and maintain Service Maps to reflect business service dependencies.
  • Setup Event Management rules and correlation definitions to reduce noise and identify root cause alerts.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to gather requirements and deliver customized solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design, configuration, testing, and support materials.
  • Conduct performance tuning, patch upgrades, and troubleshoot ITOM-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices, security, and governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience in ServiceNow, with 3+ years dedicated to ITOM modules.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Discovery

    (horizontal and top-down)

  • Service Mapping

  • Event Management

  • CMDB

  • MID Server configuration

  • Good understanding of infrastructure technologies (Windows, Linux, networking, cloud, databases).
  • Experience with scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), REST/SOAP APIs, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of CMDB Health Dashboard, CI Identification Rules, and Reconciliation Rules.
  • Familiar with ITIL processes and their application within ServiceNow.
