Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Functional Consultant Skills: CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, Discovery & Event Management Experience: 5 - 12 years Locations: Greater Noida, Pune & Bengaluru Responsible for designing, implementing & maintaining a CMDB system for an organization. Collecting & organizing information about hardware, software, and other IT assets, as well as their relationships and dependencies. Must have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure & configuration management principles, as well as excellent communication and problem - solving skills Analyzing the organization's current IT infrastructure & identifying areas for improvement in terms of configuration management. Developing a strategy & roadmap for implementing a CMDB system, including identifying the necessary data sources and integration points. Collaborating with various IT teams, such as network, server & application teams, to gather and validate configuration data. Defining & documenting the data model and taxonomy for the CMDB, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices. Configuring & customizing the CMDB tool to meet the specific needs of the organization. Conducting data quality checks & implementing processes for ongoing data maintenance and governance. Providing training & support to end - users on how to use the CMDB system effectively. Collaborating with IT teams to ensure accurate & timely updates to the CMDB as changes are made to the IT infrastructure. Conducting regular audits of the CMDB to ensure data accuracy & completeness. Monitoring & reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the CMDB, such as data quality, compliance, and usage. Staying updated on industry trends & best practices in CMDB management and making recommendations for improvement. Working with external vendors & consultants as needed to support the CMDB system. Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of ITOM Modules & CMDB. Should have experience with CMDB Class Manager, Class Hierarchy & CMDB Manager policies. Strong knowledge of Identification, Normalization & Reconciliation rules. Configuration of CMDB classes and attributes & provide guidance to clients and other team members on ITOM best practices. Good Knowledge of TBM Taxonomy and relationship with CMDB.
