Job Description

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build high-performance, production-grade APIs and systems powered by Python. This role demands hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), API-driven service development, test-driven engineering, and scalable backend architecture. You’ll work at the intersection of modern AI workflows and robust system design — integrating real-world tools like Gmail, Jira, and LLMs via agent frameworks and orchestration libraries.


This is a pure software engineering role — not analytics, data annotation, or data science.


What You’ll Do


  • Design and implement modular, production-ready APIs using Python
  • Build and maintain LLM-powered systems (e.g., agent frameworks, RAG pipelines, LangChain/LangGraph workflows)
  • Integrate LLMs into backend workflows efficiently and reliably
  • Apply strict Test Driven Development (TDD) principles — tests first, code second
  • Architect scalable databases and schema designs for service integrations
  • Deliver clean, developer-friendly documentation
  • Ship fast, without sacrificing stability, clarity, or correctness


Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience as a backend/full-stack engineer (strong backend focus)
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and modern backend architecture
  • Experience with LLM integration, including frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
  • Deep familiarity with TDD practices and fast-paced production deployments
  • Strong foundation in database schema design and data modeling
  • Proven ability to scale systems rapidly without compromising quality
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills


Bonus Points


  • Exposure to LLM function calling protocols and multi-agent orchestration paradigms
  • Background in ML engineering or experience working alongside AI infrastructure teams
  • Familiarity with APIs of tools like Gmail, Jira, Notion, Slack, etc.
