Security Operations Engineer (AWS)

Key Responsibilities

· Implement and manage security measures for the organization's cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on AWS.

· Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

· Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and address potential risks.

· Support compliance requirements and assit in 3rd party audits to success.

· Design, implement, and maintain security monitoring and incident response capabilities in the cloud environment.

· Working closely with the operations and DevOps to build, manage and automate our AWS Infrastructure.

· Provide expertise and support in addressing security-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.

· Stay abreast of the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to proactively enhance the organization's security posture.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or any relevant disciplines is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2+ years of experience in L2 Skills (AWS and Azure)
• Experience working in AWS Cloud technologies
• Proven experience as a SecOps Engineer with a focus on AWS security.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services and architecture, including VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, and others.
• Experience with security tools such as AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, AWS GuardDuty, etc.
• Skills in running vulnerbility scans and generate reports usable by system owners
• Strong understanding of DNS, SSL, Networking concepts and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in Configuration management tools
• Awareness on Monitoring and alerting tools (Cloudwatch, NewRelic, etc)
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS) and their application in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, CISSP) are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
