Position Title: BDM / Sales Manager / Sr. Sales Manager
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reporting To: Director / MD
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Site-based & Regional Office)

1. Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the Sales Manager role is to lead sales activities within the assigned region by managing the sales team, generating business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring successful closure of deals. The position also ensures that all sales processes and deliverables are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and ISO-compliant quality management system.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales plans and targets for the assigned territory.
  • Identify potential clients in residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
  • Guide and supervise field sales executives, channel partners, and dealers to achieve targets.
  • Conduct client meetings, site evaluations, and proposal presentations.
  • Review and approve quotations and proposals in coordination with the technical team.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure lead tracking, sales reporting, and forecasting using CRM tools.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adapt sales strategy.
  • Coordinate with the project, design, and finance teams for smooth client onboarding and delivery.
  • Ensure all sales documentation, agreements, and communications are maintained as per ISO standards.

3. Required Qualifications and Skills

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in solar, electrical, or power-related sales is preferred. The candidate should possess a proven track record in sales performance, strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and experience managing sales teams.

5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Conversion rate of leads to confirmed orders
  • Growth in customer base and repeat business
  • Timeliness and accuracy of sales documentation and CRM updates
  • Performance of field executives and channel partners under supervision
  • Adherence to internal processes and ISO compliance metrics

6. Authority

The Sales Manager is authorized to assign leads, finalize commercial terms within defined pricing brackets, negotiate with clients, and approve proposals up to pre-set financial limits. The position also has the authority to mentor, guide, and assess the performance of the regional sales team.

7. Responsibility

The Sales Manager is responsible for overall sales performance in the assigned region, ensuring client satisfaction, smooth interdepartmental coordination, and timely execution of the sales pipeline while adhering to internal processes, ISO norms, and organizational policies.

8. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Though not site-based, the Sales Manager must ensure safety awareness during client site visits and vehicle movement. The individual must promote a safety-first culture among sales staff and comply with all applicable ISO 45001 safety procedures during operations.

9. Training and Development

The Sales Manager must undergo product training, ISO quality system orientation, CRM usage training, and periodic updates on market trends. Regular participation in refresher sessions, sales strategy reviews, and team development workshops is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year
