Purchasing Manager

Summary

Seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities— from sourcing RF cables, connectors, and related components to managing inbound logistics and customer-related procurement needs. The ideal candidate will drive cost optimization, build supplier relationships, ensure on-time delivery, and support customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for cables, connectors, raw material and machining components, aligning with production and customer schedules.
• Identify & evaluate local suppliers, conduct RFIs/RFPs, and negotiate contracts focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance .
• Oversee day-to-day purchasing: raise PO’s, approvals, track order status, and ensure timely invoicing & payments .
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and support inventory control— forecast demand, reorder levels, and cycle counts
• Regularly evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery reliability, cost), conduct audits/visits, and drive continuous improvement
• Plan and manage inbound logistics: container, FCL/LCL shipments, customs clearance, delivery to plants/warehouses
• Coordinate material sourcing and expedite orders to meet customer-specific delivery timelines.
• Work closely with production, engineering, QA, logistics, and sales to synchronize procurement, capacity planning, and customer expectations
• Track metrics (cost savings, KPIs), conduct market analysis to forecast price trends, and initiate cost reduction measures .
• Ensure compliance with AS 9100, RoHS, customs regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain clear documentation: contracts, POs, ASNs, compliance records

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or relevant degree.
• Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing procurement, preferably in electronics/Machining components.

Skills

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management.
• ERP/MRP proficiency with robust quantitative and analytical ability.
• Understanding of RF cable/connector specs and quality norms.
• Logistics savvy: shipping modes, customs, carrier performance.
• Leadership qualities and ability to mentor a procurement team.

• Should have experience in buying Mechanical Machined parts
• Prior experience in plating of machined components
• Experience in buying raw materials like copper wire, HDPE and LDPE materials for cable
