Job Description

Purchase- Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for end-to-end procurement process for capital equipment and services including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping and fire (MEPF), encompassing supplier and Item master management, PO issuance, vendor relationship, delivery arrangements, and issuance and the processing of all necessary documentation/ transactions to acquire materials & services within the planned budget and forecast.
Ensure efficient sourcing and delivery. Uphold compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards to maintain transparency and integrity in all transactions.
Supervise daily procurement operations, overseeing tasks such as monitoring, managing lead times, planning transportation and implementing controls to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor and manage procurement expense, ensuring alignment with cross functions to meet the project budgetary outlook.
Maintain meticulous records of purchases, pricing details and supplier information. Generate comprehensive reports on procurement activities and performance to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Address procurement challenges promptly and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Work with accounts & finance for timely payments to suppliers/vendors

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology - Mechanical or Electrical

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years working experience in the areas of procurement in capital supply/services.
Hands on Experience of managing suppliers/vendors.
ERP Exposure M3
Experience of teamwork and co-ordination in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Personality requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task.
Self-starter and goal oriented.
Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility.
