1. Objective

To lead the complete setup of a bagging unit from civil construction to full operational implementation, including all phases of design coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning. The Project Manager will be fully responsible for timeline, budget, quality, and safety compliance.

2. Required Background

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in setting up industrial manufacturing facilities or process plants.
  • Proven track record in executing projects involving equipment installation, utilities setup, and commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of industrial construction standards, plant layout design, and production workflow optimization.



3. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

A. Planning & Pre-Construction

  • Conduct initial project scoping, project coordination and location evaluation.
  • Collaborate with civil and plant layout designers for finalizing site plan and technical drawings.
  • Prepare detailed project schedule, cost estimate, and resource plan.
  • Ensure timely acquisition of construction and statutory permits.
  • Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.

B. Civil & Structural Construction

  • Supervise and coordinate the construction of factory buildings, foundations, storage areas, loading bays, and office space.
  • Oversee utilities infrastructure development: electrical rooms, piping, drainage, ventilation, compressed air, etc.
  • Ensure all civil work complies with industrial and safety norms.

C. Equipment Procurement & Installation

  • Develop specifications and BoQ for all machinery and equipment (e.g., bagging machines, forklift, conveyors,).
  • Identify and finalize vendors with technical and commercial evaluation.
  • Ensure on-time procurement and manage delivery logistics.
  • Oversee machinery installation, alignment, power connections, and interlinking with material flow systems.

D. Commissioning & Trial Runs

  • Coordinate with OEMs and technicians for commissioning, calibration, and automation setup.
  • Conduct dry runs, trial bagging operations, and quality control testing.
  • Prepare punch lists and ensure all issues are resolved before handover.

E. Team Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with principles, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and budget tracking documents.
  • Maintain complete documentation, including drawings, quality checks, compliance reports, and O&M manuals.



4. Key Competencies

5. Reporting Structure

Reports to: Managing Director
