API Developer Portal Platform

1. Product Management Skills

5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in developer platforms, APIs, or AI.
Experience owning a product roadmap and lifecycle (discovery → MVP → GA → continuous iteration).
Strong customer-centric mindset and user research abilities.
Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration (Engineering, Design, Marketing, Developer Relations, etc.)

2. Domain Expertise

Experience with API lifecycle (design, publishing, documentation, analytics, monetization).
Familiarity with Developer Portal platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, WSO2, Kong, Postman, Stoplight, etc.)
Understanding of OpenAPI/Swagger specs and API-first development.
Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth2, API Keys, JWT, etc.)

3. AI/ML Integration Knowledge

Understanding of LLMs, embeddings, and how GenAI can enhance developer experience.
Experience integrating AI into developer tools (e.g., AI-assisted API documentation, smart search, chatbot integration).
Awareness of prompt engineering, fine-tuning vs RAG strategies, and ethical AI use.

4. Technical Literacy

Ability to read and understand OpenAPI specs and JSON/YAML.
Understanding of backend architecture and deployment models (SaaS, hybrid, on-prem).
Experience with developer workflows (CI/CD, GitOps, Postman Collections, etc.)

5. Metrics & Business Acumen

Defining success metrics: MAUs, time-to-first-call, API adoption, retention.
Experience with monetization models and developer engagement KPIs.
Knowledge of pricing models (tiered usage, pay-per-call, etc.) for APIs.
