Process Engineer - Cement Plant

Job Title: Process Engineer – Cement Plant Department: Production/Process Engineering Location: Bawal Reporting To: Plant Head / Production Manager Job Purpose: To ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable operation of the cement manufacturing process by monitoring, optimizing, and improving process parameters, energy usage, and product quality. Key Responsibilities: Process Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor raw mill, kiln, and cement mill operations. Analyze key process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, fuel consumption, emissions). Optimize process performance to improve production efficiency and reduce cost. Quality Control: Ensure clinker and cement quality by coordinating with the Quality Control department. Assist in troubleshooting process issues affecting quality. Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform root cause analysis of process bottlenecks or deviations. Generate and interpret daily, weekly, and monthly process performance reports. Project Implementation: Support commissioning and implementation of new equipment or process modifications. Participate in energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Monitor emissions and ensure compliance with statutory norms. Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with maintenance, production, instrumentation, and quality teams. Qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Preferred: Diploma in Cement Technology or Process Engineering. Experience: 3–7 years of experience in process engineering in cement manufacturing. Hands-on experience in kiln and mill operations is highly desirable. Key Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good knowledge of cement manufacturing processes (Pyroprocess, Grinding, Homogenization, etc.) Familiarity with DCS systems, PLCs, and process instrumentation.
