Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PostgreSQL Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases in a fast-paced application environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize complex PostgreSQL database queries and stored procedures.
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements and suggest optimizations.
• Develop and maintain database structures to support evolving application and business requirements.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across the platform.
• Work closely with application developers to understand data needs and deliver effective database solutions.
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and maintenance.
• Create, review, and optimize database scripts, views, and functions.
• Implement backup and recovery plans, data security protocols, and access control mechanisms.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Experience in database design, normalization, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in writing efficient queries and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of indexing strategies and query execution plans.
• Experience in version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments and scripting is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DBaaS solutions.
• Understanding of NoSQL/other databases is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and analytics tools.
