Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic
Parcel Program Manager
to lead and optimize our parcel shipping program. This role is responsible for developing and managing parcel pricing models, rate cards, and carrier relationships to maximize revenue and ensure operational profitability. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in parcel logistics, cost modeling, and data analytics, with a strong understanding of LTL and other transportation modes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain parcel pricing models based on volume, weight, dimensions, and customer-specific needs.
- Create and manage custom rate cards and pricing grids for customers.
- Determine strategic markups to optimize profitability while remaining competitive.
- Analyze current pricing practices and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously monitor and analyze carrier rate structures, surcharges, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain strong relationships with parcel and LTL carriers.
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure favorable rate terms and cost savings.
- Conduct network and route analysis to determine optimal carriers and transit times.
- Analyze shipping volumes, SLAs, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards for tracking KPIs, billing accuracy, and service levels.
- Partner with Finance to ensure billing accuracy, receivables timeliness, and audit compliance.
- Collaborate with Operations to align on package dimensions, weight accuracy, and service expectations.
- Work with TMS/WMS and other systems to streamline billing and pricing workflows as it relates to transportation and/or shipping.
- Participate in carrier audits and claims reviews to ensure compliance and recover costs.
- Identify additional revenue opportunities (e.g., overpacking, storage, packaging models).
- Monitor market trends and customer behavior to adjust pricing strategies dynamically.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline required. Master’s Degree preferred. Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, parcel logistics, pricing, or related field. Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.

Travel
Ability to travel within the United States up to 15% of the time.
