Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced MicroStrategy (MSTR) Consultant with 8+ years of expertise to support our offshore operations. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of metadata, data modeling, dashboard development, and performance optimization. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate with business users to answer technical queries.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Develop, configure, and maintain MicroStrategy solutions based on business needs.

•       Understand and manage metadata, ensuring efficient data model configurations.

•       Work with star schemas, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs), and hierarchical models to optimize reporting.

•       Design and create interactive dashboards tailored for various business requirements.

•       Configure VLDB settings to fine-tune report performance.

•       Establish parent-child relationships between attributes and configure level metrics.

•       Develop and manage Documents and Dossiers for data visualization and reporting.

•       Monitor and troubleshoot MSTR infrastructure issues, including certificate renewals, Catalina logs, and service restarts.

•       Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs and provide technical guidance.

•       Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize reports for faster execution.

•       Power BI knowledge is a plus, as it may be required for certain integrations.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

•       8+ years of hands-on experience with MicroStrategy development and administration.

•       Strong data modeling expertise, including hierarchical modeling and SCD types.

•       Proven track record of building scalable dashboards and reports.

•       Experience with MicroStrategy VLDB settings and performance tuning.

•       Familiarity with MicroStrategy infrastructure troubleshooting and best practices.

•       Retail industry experience is a plus.

•       Exposure to Power BI is an advantage.
