Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Nikol, Ahmedabad, Gujarat Department: Mechanical Engineering / Design Job Type: Full-Time Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year in a Relevant Design Role Education: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech – Mechanical Engineering Job Summary:We are looking for a qualified and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and drafting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in mechanical design, good knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and strong fundamentals in engineering design. This role is based strictly in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and is ideal for engineers passionate about turning concepts into real-world mechanical systems or products. Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical components, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Prepare 2D and 3D design models, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Apply design fundamentals including tolerance analysis, material selection, and strength calculations. Modify and improve existing designs based on performance data or customer feedback. Coordinate with production, quality, and purchasing teams for smooth project execution. Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and manufacturing best practices. Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs. Maintain design files and ensure version control and documentation as per company policies. Candidate Profile: Education: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in mechanical design. Software Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Design Knowledge: Good understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, GD&T, and basic engineering calculations. Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Location: Candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. Basic knowledge of FEA/CFD tools. Exposure to sheet metal, plastic parts, or machine component design.
