Job Description

Design, develop/build, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL
,
JCL, VSAM, DB2
,
IMS
,
Assembler
with
Mainframe tools (Endevor) and utilities. *Assembler & IMS are good to have and not must have.
Able to embrace innovative approaches with DevOps in mainframe environments.
Firsthand developer with cloud native - Java/Python technology stack. Firsthand with frameworks like Java Spring boot / Spring batch / Python PySpark.
Firsthand with Mainframe transformation projects
targeting
the
cloud nativeapplication development.
Able to use modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio Code (VS Code) with AI tools like Amazon Q Developer to enhance developer productivity.
Able to use / implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable faster and more reliable software releases. Automation of repetitive tasks like building, testing, and deploying code.
Firsthand with Git for source code management.
Develop and execute unit tests with automation test frameworks like JUnit,
Mockito; Postman, WireMock for API testing.
Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of cloud native applications.
Maintain detailed documentation of code, processes, and solutions.
Identify and implement performance improvements and optimizations.
