This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 3 years Location: Bengaluru, India JobType: full-time As a Lead Engineering Manager , you will play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence, nurturing technical talent, and delivering high-quality products on time. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of engineers, defining and executing engineering best practices, and collaborating closely with product, design, and leadership teams. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strong stakeholder management skills . We are seeking someone who can set a clear technical direction, remove roadblocks, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and inspire teams to do their best work. Requirements Key Responsibilities: ✅ Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented engineers. Foster an environment of learning, collaboration, and ownership. ✅ Technical Guidance: Provide hands-on technical leadership, ensuring sound architectural decisions, high code quality, and scalable systems. ✅ Project Management: Work closely with Product and Design teams to prioritize and deliver features on schedule. Ensure that sprints are effectively planned, executed, and reviewed. ✅ Process Improvement: Define and implement engineering processes and best practices to enhance productivity, code quality, and team morale. ✅ Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to align engineering efforts with business goals. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving. ✅ Hiring & Onboarding: Participate in recruiting top engineering talent and ensuring smooth onboarding of new team members. ✅ Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help team members grow in their careers. Requirements: 🔹 3-6 years of experience in engineering management or team leadership roles. 🔹 Proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. 🔹 Strong technical background in software development, system design, and architecture. 🔹 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges. 🔹 Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. 🔹 Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams. 🔹 Ability to manage competing priorities and keep teams focused and aligned with company goals. 🔹 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred Qualifications: ⭐ Experience with [specify relevant technologies: e.g., cloud platforms, microservices, DevOps tools]. ⭐ Prior experience scaling engineering teams in a growing startup or mid-sized company.
