Your role

As a seasoned java developer you will work together with business users and members of the development team to provide quality systems that improve productivity, decrease operational risk, enable the business to expand and make users smile.We are looking for someone who can:

• passionate about technology and development of IT systems and applications.
• implement and deliver high quality software solutions / components for the Credit Risk Monitoring platform.
• analyze business requirements, design implementable technical solutions that leverage process and development best practice
• pay an intense amount of attention to the quality of the product, data, and code you produce.
  

Your team

You will be working within Credit Risk Monitoring Stream and in EOD Monitoring CrewThe Firmwide Risk IT team is a group of elite and pioneering software engineering professionals who bring modern computer science and IT platform management to our stakeholders across the bank.We implement common reusable solutions to ensure the risk management runs on the most optimal and scalable framework. We use niche solutions, and we are expanding towards in-house built solutions to ensure the UBS Risk Management and Control remains competitive and ahead of our peers.

Your expertise

• Experience of 8+ years working in Backend Development and Microservices using Java Spring Boot, J2EE, REST for implementing projects with high SLA of data availability and data quality. In–depth experience in high volume and high performance, scalable application design experience with Java/J2EE is essential.
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle) and UNIX
• Experience of building cloud ready and migrating applications using Azure and understanding of the Azure Native Cloud services, software design and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience using DevOps toolsets like GitLab, Jenkins, TDD/BDD tools like PyTest , Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience working with build tools like Maven/Gradle.
• Experience of working on Kubernetes / OpenShift, Containerization (Docker, Podman or Similar), Cloud Native technologies and frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot).
• skills in using SQL, JPA, and databases like PostgreSQL or Azure SQL.
