Job Description

Position: IoT Embedded Engineer

Role Overview:

IoT Embedded Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop embedded systems for IoT applications in resource- and power-constrained environments.
Develop firmware and device drivers on Linux/RTOS platforms with a focus on multi-threading and debugging.
Integrate and optimize communication protocols such as LoRa, Wi-Fi, BLE, ZigBee, NB-IoT, M2M, 6LoWPAN, and Ethernet.
Build and maintain mesh/sensor networks and gateways for scalable IoT deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and electronics engineers to develop smart/connected products.
Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and dashboard creation.
Ensure scalability, security, and high availability of IoT systems and applications.
Work closely with cloud, mobile, and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end connected solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

2–6 years of industry experience in embedded systems and IoT product development.
Proficiency in C programming on embedded platforms; familiarity with hardware design is a plus.
Strong understanding of IoT platform components and hardware ecosystems.
Experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
Hands-on experience with connected smart products involving firmware, application software, data, and cloud integration.
Familiarity with SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud) trends and their application in scalable product categories.
Proven decision-making skills in technology selection and implementation strategies.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and driving process improvements.
