Role Overview*

We are hiring an Institutional Sales Manager to drive sales to government bodies, defence and railways, state medical services, corporate hospitals, and group purchasing organisations (GPOs). You will own the complete institutional sales cycle—from tender scouting to order execution—while building long-term relationships and meeting revenue & collection targets.

Key Responsibilities*

  • *

Tender Management:* scan portals, analyse eligibility, prepare bid documents, submit tenders, and track results.

  • *

Key Account Development:* onboard & manage major government and private hospital accounts; negotiate rate contracts, pricing slabs and supply schedules.

  • *

Demand Forecasting:* work with SCM and production to align capacity with institutional demand, ensuring 100 % OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) deliveries.

  • *

Liaison & Compliance:* coordinate with QA/RA for technical data, COPPs, samples and post-qualification queries; ensure adherence to all contract terms.

  • *

Collections:* monitor receivables, resolve deductions, and maintain healthy cash flow from institutional customers.

  • *

Market Intelligence:* track competitor bids, pricing trends and new procurement policies; share insights for strategic pricing and product positioning.

  • *

MIS Reporting:* update CRM/ERP, prepare monthly dashboards, and present progress to senior leadership.

Requirements*Experience

  • 3–5 years* in institutional / tender sales for pharmaceutical formulations

Education

B.Pharm / B.Sc / MBA (Marketing, Pharma Management or similar)

Knowledge

Government e-procurement portals (GeM, CPPP), tender laws, DGS&D / rate-contract processes, hospital purchase cycles

Skills

Bid preparation, cost sheet analysis, key-account management, negotiation, Excel & tender-portal proficiency, strong written & spoken English & Hindi

Traits

Target-driven, detail-oriented, ethical, willing to travel ~30 % of the time
