Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of IT to lead and manage the school’s technology infrastructure and support systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background along with the ability to manage teams, vendors, and academic/non-academic IT needs within a K–12 school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the school’s IT infrastructure including: LAN/WAN networking, firewalls and cybersecurity controls, CCTV surveillance systems, Wi-Fi networks, Windows servers & backups, and endpoint management.
  • Strategize and lead the school’s digital transformation journey by identifying, piloting, and integrating AI-driven solutions that enhance academic delivery, administrative efficiency.
  • Manage Office 365 (O365) for faculty, staff, and students, including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune policies.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the School ERP, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and attendance/HR/payroll platforms.
  • Ensure regular IT support for staff and students across academic and administrative functions.
  • Lead the planning and execution of IT projects including smart classrooms, biometric/ID systems, and digital boards.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships in coordination with the finance and procurement teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity best practices relevant to school environments.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to enhance tech-enabled learning.
  • Maintain a robust disaster recovery and backup strategy.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.) are a plus.
  • 6–10 years of hands-on experience in managing IT systems, preferably in an educational (K–12) environment.
  • Strong experience in: Network design and troubleshooting, Firewall and access control configurations, Server administration (Windows/Linux), Microsoft 365 suite management, CCTV & surveillance systems, ERP & LMS implementation/support.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative departments.
  • Experience in vendor coordination and contract evaluation.
  • Familiarity with the specific needs and day-to-day operations of schools is mandatory.
